Quality of Care for a Life of Quality
At Goodall-Witcher Nursing Facility, our residents are part of our family. We take a warm, caring approach to healthcare, where residents are treated like the unique, individuals they are.
Our friendly team of administrators, nurses and staff pay attention to the details; that’s why our residents truly feel at home during their stay! Our small 40-bed capacity allows us to spend quality one-on-one time with our residents, and family members build strong professional and personal relationships with our personnel.
About the Nursing Facility
Our location on the first floor of Goodall-Witcher Hospital allows us to offer all levels of medical attention since we are “just down the hall” from the Clifton Medical Clinic, our ER and other services such as x-ray and the lab.
The Goodall-Witcher Nursing Facility is certified by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services, and we have been named a Five-Star Facility by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), placing us within the top 10% of all nursing homes in the nation. We offer admission to residents on a self-pay basis or to those needing financial assistance through the Texas Medicaid Program.
We believe in a holistic approach when it comes to caring for our residents. There are many dedicated and knowledgeable members of the team that create and deliver each patient’s plan of care; therefore, it is important to have open channels of communication between patient family members, attending physicians, and each department involved in the patient’s care. Our 24-hour nursing staff ensures residents are getting the skilled care they need, when they need it. Our dietician works in collaboration with our dietary department to ensure each patient gets proper nutrition while addressing any specific issues including allergies and food restrictions. Our physical, occupational and speech therapists assess any limitations a resident may have in any of these areas, and visit patients for their therapy sessions right in the nursing home unit. Crafts, Bible studies, Sunday church services, games and exercise are just a few of the activities planned by our Activity Director.
Some things in life are priceless…One of those is peace of mind. This is especially true of finding the best environment for the care of elderly parents, relatives and friends. The process of making this important decision includes visiting the facility, asking the staff about the care they provide, and speaking with residents who live there. It also now includes visiting www.cms.gov to review the ratings.
Knowing that medical care is “just down the hall” may be just the peace of mind you are looking for.
