Goodall-Witcher Healthcare Auxiliary is an organization committed to the support of Goodall-Witcher Hospital Authority through community service and fundraising. Proceeds from fundraising activities are used to provide scholarships for employees to further their education in the healthcare field, as well as purchase equipment for the hospital. In the past, the Auxiliary has raised money to purchase a fetal monitor, wheelchairs, and a stretcher, as well as contributed to the purchase of a new state-of-the-art digital mammography machine.
Some of the fundraising activities of the auxiliary include the annual Spaghetti Supper in the spring, the Pumpkin Patch in the fall, and several medical scrub sales throughout the year; in addition, it sponsors multiple blood drives throughout the year through Carter Blood Care.
The Auxiliary also sponsors the Generations Garden, a brick patio located between the Clifton Medical Clinic and the hospital. The bricks can be bought and engraved with names and dates for different occasions, such as to commemorate an anniversary, celebrate an event, or placed as a memorial for a loved one. Birthday bricks may also be purchased for those who were born at Goodall-Witcher.
